Privacy Policy
VibeRadar is built around selective sharing. This page explains, in plain language, what the app reads from Spotify and how your visibility stays under your control.
Core promise
Users are always in control.
VibeRadar does not treat Spotify access as permission to broadcast everything. Connecting your music account only powers the features you choose to turn on.
What VibeRadar reads
When you connect Spotify, VibeRadar may read your account basics, current playback, and playlists. This is used only to power your profile identity, your live listening signal, and playlist import inside the app.
What becomes visible
Nothing becomes visible just because you connected Spotify. Your privacy settings inside VibeRadar decide whether your current song, playlists, profile, or nearby signal can be seen by anyone else.
How playlists work
Imported playlists appear inside your VibeRadar account so you can label them as public, room-only, or private. If playlist sharing is turned off globally, those playlists stay hidden regardless of their individual label.
How profile data works
Your email and profile identity are used for authentication and account management. Your display name, avatar, and vibe details stay tied to your VibeRadar profile and are shown according to your visibility rules.
Control and disconnect
You can sign out of VibeRadar at any time, change your visibility settings whenever you want, and remove Spotify access later from your Spotify account settings if you no longer want the connection active.
